Solutions with a Tucsonan's Heart
Fully staffing the Tucson Police Department, Tucson Fire Department, and the Tucson 911 center. First responders should be there when we need them and calls to 911 should never go unanswered.
Protecting Tucson Neighborhoods. Zoning changes from programs such as Middle Housing, Plan Tucson, and
the Community Corridors Tool should not be allowed to harm the safety, quality of life, or property values of Tucson neighborhoods.
Reinstating sliding scale bus fares and working with Sun Tran and TPD to make buses and bus stops safe for everyone.
Removing barriers to treatment for people struggling with addiction. It shouldn't be hard for people to get
the help they need.
Supporting the use of existing government-owned buildings for shelter programs and putting people on a path from homelessness to stability.
Creating affordable housing by repurposing vacant buildings such as schools and big box stores as housing for the elderly and working families.
Expanding the successful TPD VIVA (Violence Interruption and Vitalization Action) program to include more neighborhoods across the city. VIVA has proven results in reducing violent crime and improving safety and quality of life in Tucson neighborhoods.
Supporting expansion of the Pima County Transition Center to provide essential services and to not only support individuals recently released from jail, but also to serve more people in need in our community.
Ward 6 needs a reasonable voice who puts people before politics.
and we NEED your help to make it happen!
